What a year!
Wow! What a year it's been! I feel like this has been a truly successful year. Meg and I were able to ring in 2007 in Florida on an amazing trip with my parents. The weather was gorgeous and we had a lot of fun. Meg loved the beach and sand and I loved the sun and warmth (and volleyball with a bunch of well-aged people!) Spring time brought us a new house. An adventure I still can't believe I took on all by myself, but am loving every minute of it. Having my very own place and making it on my own means the world to me. I'm so thankful that I'm able to provide this wonderful place to Meg. We spent much of the rest of spring and summer playing outdoors. The woods is quite an adventuresome place. Our trips to Holiday World and Holland, Michigan were nice breaks to the summer. This fall brought a quick visit to Saline to see Aunt Marcia and family. Meg loved performing on the stage at the "play place" that she enjoys. Christmas just ended, so we're currently trying to wrap up (or maybe it's unwrap) all the new stuff. Meg got a little bit of everything, so the hardest part is deciding what to play with next. It's amazing to look back on 2007 and see how much Meg has grown, and how much I've grown. She's become quite independent, which at times makes me sad. I love that she has her own mind and is able to think and express herself now (even though it's quite sassy at times!) I've come to realize too that while I love being independent myself, having help sure is nice. There are people that can be relied on and want me to rely on them, so I'm trying. It's a wonderful feeling that someone truly does care for me and wants to be there. I'm enjoying it for the mean time and hope it continues for quite a long while! :) 2008....ready or not.....here we come!

Cabin Fever!
OK...so Meg and I really enjoy spending most of our time outside or on the go doing something, this wintry weather is killing us! I refuse to take the risk of driving anywhere (lots of idiot drivers out there) so we're stuck home...inside. We did play outside yesterday afternoon with the neighbors, but Meg's winter stuff (coveralls, etc...) is at Mamaw and Papaw's so we can't stay out too long. We did make a snowman, with our new crafty snowman kit, and she even had a chance to ride the sled behind Greg's 4-wheeler, which was lots of fun for her. The boys sandwich her in the middle to make sure not too much snow blows up in her face, so she looks like a blob just laying there in the middle of them. We even took a wintry walk back to the creek, I of course had to carry her some of the way, which was a pretty good work out, or so I figured. That's why I had an extra brownie for dessert last night! HA!
Anyways, this morning we awoke to MORE SNOW! Now it's coming down and blowing all around too, so once again, we're stuck inside! This morning Miss Meg has already put 4 dots with a permanent marker on my couch and made a hole in the wall with a rocking chair and it's only 9:30 <<>> We did manage to go through toys and get rid of some just in time for Santa to bring another batch for us!

Christmas Program
I couldn't find my camera last Sunday, so I have no pics of the daycare/church Christmas program, but let me tell you, it was wonderful! Meg sung her little heart out. We've been listening to that music practicing now since before Thanksgiving (and if you know me, was against my beliefs!) HA HA! She not only knew all the singing words, but she was up there mouthing the spoken parts too!
She and Kate sat next to each other. Overall, I couldn't believe how well behaved everyone was. The kids (lots of them!) sat up there and were nearly perfect. I mean there were your typical nose pickers (yes...one of them was Meg ***hide***) and little squirmers and occasional yeller, but for young kids, they were amazing! Hoots (or is it Hollers for you G-field people) to Pastor and Miss Libby for that! Those people are amazing! We love them and can't imagine what another daycare would be like. Anyways...Meg picked a feather off her angel wing and decided to start to point it at me. She kept sort of flicking it, then pointing it. We got to laughing at her, which only encouraged her more, so what's the right thing for her to do? Pick one off for Kate. Then they both started doing it. After a few minutes of that it got boring, so they decided to try another tactic to make sure they were being paid attention to....hugging. Yes, those sweet little angels, sat up there and loved on each other. It was sweet as can be and I do have that videoed! Maybe we need to show it on one of their hair pulling/spitting days? HA!
One little funny about the song....she told me this week that she wanted to hear the "All Da Hay" song. I couldn't figure it out until she started singing....All Da Haaaaay, angels sing....glory to the newbown king! I cracked up....I'll never hear "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" again and not think of her sweet interpretation. What joy that is!
I can hardly wait for Christmas to get here. It seems like every year as she gets older, it gets more fun. I hope that never stops!

My Snow Angel
We had our first snow of winter last week. Meg absolutely loved it! I woke up the first morning it snowed and let her peek out the window and she got this really excited look on her face and said "Let's go play in it and build a snowman!" So sweet and innocent..no clue that building a snowman at 6AM is the LAST thing on anyone's list to do! HA! We did manage to get outside after school for some fun in the snow. She loved doing snow angels and when Greg and the boys came tooling up on the four wheeler with a sled attached to the back, she was really excited!
Rah! Rah! Rah!
Meg is obsessed with cheerleading thanks to Mamaw. She loves it and thinks the girls are absolutely amazing. We went to a game a few weeks ago where she wore her own cheer outfit. She, Kate and Claire all stood in the bleachers and cheered. The had a ball. When the girls offered to send them up in the air, there was, of course, one brave volunteer.....Miss Meghan! She loved it!

We're baaaaack!
Wow! It's been a while, but I'm back to blogging. Had computer issues, moved, couldn't figure out how to log in, but whew! I got it all figured out. I look forward to getting back to chronicling (is that even a word) Meg's amazing life. I realized yesterday how a toddler's mind works. She asked be "Momma, when's it gonna be tomorrow?" I replied, tomorrow and she just gave me a puzzled look. I guess it never really is tomorrow if you think about it like a three-year old.
